Erin Aurich rejoined the band in time to be included on their fourth album, The Millions Too Many. This album also included drummer Craig Halliday and horn player Ben Bowen. Between 2001 and 2008, the band toured Canada and the United States several times. They also toured the United Kingdom in 2004. In May 2008, A Northern Chorus announced it would be disbanding. They played two final shows on June 27 Horseshoe Tavern, Toronto and June 28 Hamilton, 2008. In August 2011, the band reunited its Millions Too Many lineup to play two shows in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario. In J. Album 2007 9 Songs. The Millions Too Many. A Northern Chorus. Alternative Chorus. Hushed, artsy, and smart, the band wastes little time making elegiac sounds on Carpenter, which has lush orchestration. It also contains an adventurous feel that resembles similar Canadian bands like Arcade Fire and Rheostatics. Melodic almost to a fault, the songs sound like they are part of one journey, especially Skeleton Keys, which creates a very warm, textured foundation. A Northern Chorus displays a wonderful and rare ability to fill each song with a great number of wonderful and gorgeous sounds. Following in step is Canadian sextet A Northern Chorus whose fourth LP, The Millions Too Many features many hallmarks of the band's sound: lush instrumental passages, dynamic ebb and flow and abundant orchestrations. The album makes magnificent use of cello, violin, trumpet, trombone, mellophone, organ and piano, surrounding vocalistsguitarists Stuart Livingstone and Pete Hall as well as the band's rhythm section with these instruments' warm and inviting tones.
