Slade are one of Britain’s most popular and enduring bands, standing shoulder to shoulder next to the Beatles, Rolling Stones and The Who as an immovable part of Britain’s rock firmament, and they’ve been lavishly praised by the likes of Messrs Lennon & McCartney and Mick Jagger, chaps who know a good tune when they hear one.
Described as ‘the missing link between the Beatles and Oasis’ (the latter having covered ’Cum On Feel The Noize’), Slade are never far from British ears and hearts, having created some of the most beloved, indelible songs in the history of popular music.
When Slade Rocked The World 1971-1975 pays homage to their phenomenal run of hit singles and albums in the early ‘70s, when they seemingly could do no wrong.

When Slade Rocked the World 1971-1975 is a compilation box set by the British rock band Slade, released by Salvo in November 2015. When Slade Rocked The World 1971-1975 pays homage to the groups phenomenal run of hit singles and albums in the early 70s, when they seemingly could do free to Slade When Slade Rocked The World 1971-1975 How D'You Ride, The Whole World's Goin' Crazee and more. 88 tracks 332:59. But listening to When Slade Rocked the World, you can see why Tremlett thought global superstardom was a done deal based on the music alone. Holder and bassist Jim Lea could write pop singles that permanently embedded themselves in the British psyche, but their albums tell a slightly different, rather broader story. The 1972 album Slade Alive was the end of that slog, the sound of an archetypical hard-gigging early-70s band, some distance from the simple Day-Glo pleasure of Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me: lengthy covers of Ten Years After, Steppenwolf and Little Richard, endless Yammy-accented exhortations to clap your hands, more solo-heavy than you might expect. Feel The Noize - Slade Greatest Hits. Look Wot You Dun. In for a Penny: Raves & Faves. New Album Releases. The 1975. Notes on a Conditional Form. Like that box, When Slade Rocked The World will be a multi-format collection, taking in vinyl albums, CDs, seven-inch singles, books and other items of memorabilia. Jim Horan says: November 20, 2015 at 20:54. I really wish they could get together for one or two more songs, if not an entire album. Too bad more here in the states never caught on to them
