Info
Burst Apart - The Antlers. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Burst Apart is the fourth studio album by American indie rock group The Antlers. It was released on Frenchkiss Records on May 10, 2011 and the day before in the UK, Japan, Europe by Transgressive Records. It began streaming on the National Public Radio website on April 24, 2011. The cover art was designed by Zan Goodman, who also designed the album cover for their previous album, Hospice. Burst Apart shows The Antlers to be on sure footing, playing to their strengths, but confident enough in their own instincts to depart from some of the qualities that made them the indie rock wunderkinds of 2009. Full Review. No Ripcord. Burst Apart is a passable follow-up to an incredible record, but thats all it is. Burst Apart is The Antlers 4th record, maybe individually my 7th record, but most importantly, our first record as a true band. Before now, we were my bedroom project, slowly expanding into a group, and finding our musical footing. Ive found happiness in letting go of the reigns this time, finding my place in a true collaboration, turning The Antlers from my project to our project. We put our hearts and minds into this, and were ecstatic to have you finally hear this record for which we care so much. But its not meant to be just the bands record. Beyond Michael, Darby and myself, I want B. Burst Apart. The Antlers - Burst Apart 2011. To favorites 1 Download album. Listen album. Indie Rock. The Antlers. Released: May 2011. Label: Frenchkiss Records. The Antlers' 2009 LP Hospice is so epic, so crushing, that listening to it feels like a bullet taking 50 minutes to sink into your chest. Burst Apart captures the aftermath in a slow-burning dream state that's as narcotic as it is haunting. Frontman Peter Silberman is more introspective, examining the fine line between loneliness and independence: His falsetto slithers like a charmed snake as guitars echo and keyboards meander into the ether. After all, Burst Apart does open with I Don't Want Love, a heartbreaking wallow in a numbing hangover from a singer who previously seemed doomed to feel too much. Its glistening melody at least helps it scan as pop, but Parentheses and Every Night feel cut from the same cloth as the Walkmen's The Rat, holding onto sanity with white knuckles, sexual congress seen as mutually assured destruction. Aside from those, Burst Apart's atmosphere is nocturnal and desolate. Jake and Tom review the new album by The Antlers
