The album's most interesting moments come at the end, when Roccisano offers a medley of Adios Nonino and La Muerta del Angel - two pieces by the great Argentinean tango innovator Astor Piazzolla. The rest of the album plays it safe and does so with decent, if unremarkable, results. Leave Your Mind Behind is an album by the Joe Roccisano Orchestra which was released on Orrin Keepnews' Landmark label in 1995. He was, however, a hard-swinging saxman who had no problem leading a big band.
